Barry has been a member of the Cumberland Fire Department for 30 years, joining in 1981, and has served as their Fire Chief from 2002 until 2022 . In 1997, he was named the American Legion Firefighter of the year. He also has served on the Barron County LEPC since 1990. In 2007, Barry was elected to the WSFA Board of Directors and presently serves as Board Vice President. In the summer and in his spare time, he loves to ride his motorcycle and takes many short trips around the area. Barry and his wife, Wanda, reside in Cumberland, WI
